with a compact
design that reduces
its size and weight.
* To charge the remote with solar energy, set the TV remote down with the solar
panel facing up. Place it in your living room while your lights are turned on, or
you can place it near a window where it will soak in natural sunlight. If SolarCell
Remote’s battery is drained, it would need to be charged with a USB-C cable.

easily upcycle TV packaging boxes into bookcases, shelves, pet items and

People Greater TV Accessibility
Since 2014, we have been delivering on our Caring for All vision by
developing and rolling out accessibility features that make it easier for
everyone to immerse themselves in the worlds shown on TV.
These include: Auto Caption Position, which prevents captions from
obscuring the displayed content; Sign Language Guide, which features
an avatar interpreter that explains TV menus in sign language; and
Relumino Mode, which emphasizes the outlines of images and shapes
to assist viewers with low vision. In addition to these, we also offer a
variety of other accessibility features such as Audio Subtitles, Button
Highlights, and Auto Menu Sort.

Ocean Bound Plastic
We applied plastics recycled from ocean-
bound PET bottles to the rear
cover¹⁾ of our
high-resolution monitor ViewFinity S8 for
2022, followed by
SolarCell Remote brackets²⁾
in our 2023 lifestyle TVs.
- At least 5% of the rear cover contains plastics recycled from ocean-bound PET
- At least 20% of solar cell remote brackets contain polyamide (PA) recycled from marine waste

In 2025, the Neo QLED 8K, high-resolution monitor ViewFinity S8, and Samsung Color E-Paper received “Green Product of the Year” awards from the Korea Green Purchasing Network, a non-profit civic organization.
Energy Winner of the Year
